Doubtful, Cypress is going bye bye, I hope the refresh is compatible for CF...

I didnt make it in to MB on saturday to get the GPU - within the next few days I will get in to pick that bugger up !!

yeah a stock 5850 falls a frame or two shy on most games than 2 4870's in CF. Not too shabby at all for a single card. OC that and you are on par and beyond. Down the road another 5850 for CF. It should be fast enough that the games will be over before I even start to play

File comment: Nice load of gear. ATI included two molex to 6 pin PCI-E adapters. Driver cd(which never is used) x-fire interconnect, booklet, free dirt2, and dvi adapter

Nice fit too, about the exact same length as my recently sold 4870. 120mm fan feeding it cold air from the back and the side door panel.

Please note:

1) The OC on the GPU and Memory - Maxxed out.
2) Meanwhile the temp of 30 degrees
3) Fan manually set to a mere 35%
4) All 3D settings set to Max.

Insane ! Very Impressive = )

I laugh at your puny insignifcant clocks, ha ha.

+25Mhz core and +125Mhz memory, that's why I got the Asus EAH5850

I experienced identical results, I cranked up clocks to max last night...

@ Dr. B, seriously, no performance issues with 10.2 with auto adjusting clocks. They kick back up as fast as they go down with no spiking, I'm happy it'll put less load on the psu!
