Anyone see the new Logitech G19? Curious to if any local computer stores would carry this or are able to order one. Looks to be one amazing piece of hardware. Google an image of this thing. I nearly humped the photo when I saw it. |

I have a First Generation G15 and not only do I not use the LCD screen, I rather it flipped down while I'm using it since I find it so distracting. ![]() ![]() |

haha no worries, I have yet to find a mod that was decent since i picked one up. Its the first revision and in my opinion the best version. I use a G11 myself and like it. Great for low light gaming. (I also use the N52te with it). I was going to use it as a mod project with paint and what not but I think I am going to end up selling it as a friend of mine is interested. I do like the g19 tho. Looks pretty sharp. But I would have to try one to see if I like it or not. |

I liked the fact that when you entered a battleground the stats it was displaying would change to reflect what you were doing. So if you were just playing regularly you would see things like how much inventory space you have free and when you were in a battleground you would get your kills/deaths. It was neat but in the end most of what it displayed was easily visible on the WoW UI anyways so it was just redundant for me. |

I was trying to find a mod that would let me see COD4 stats, health meter , things of that nature. I found one of them tried it and it didnt work, once I got on a server ( as the display said - please join a server - lol ) it stuck there and did nothing. So I am back to my trusty G11. The G19 apparently has an LCD display which is supposed to be quite clear. Not sure how distracting that would be while in game and surfin xtube on the kb. But the idea is good if there were applets available to make full use of it. Personally I would find preformance information in regards to fps, cpu/ram, network traffic, your own idea here, all neatly seperated on one display. Its a wonder they didnt team up with some game manufacturers so that the install cd comes with optional applet. Seems it would take little effort. also an option to either dim rather low so to not be distracting. It would go a little way in explaining the 200 dollar or give me your kidney/first born price tag. |

I've used the G19. Alot of bells and whistles but certainly not worth Logitech's price point. Razer will always get my vote when it comes to peripherals, and I'm the peripheral kingpin hehe (I own every Razer product, and many of the other competition products) Logitech just charges way too much for their peripherals. Razer Tarantula = best bang for buck if you want bells and whistles along with Razer's top notch hardware quality. |

I just checked out that keyboard online, looks pretty sweet. I noticed there are speaker and mic connects - guessing you can plug your headet directly into the keyboard? If so, thats definately a plus but redundant for my setup. I have the Logitech Z-5500 ( w/ Klipsch promedia 5.1's ) and the console has that built in. I was looking at some of the Razor mice tho. Currently have the OCZ Equalizer atm, great for gaming but do really like the look of the Razor gear. |

Had it, it's pretty slick, still like the professional looking tarantula better. Hali_Newf, Razer mice feel really natural to me, most of their models are so ergonomic you don't even feel them in your hand, besides they have the best laser technology on the market. Check out the Diamondback 3G or the Deathadder, my personal favorites. It also depends whether you're a claw, palm or floating mouse user. |

I hold the mouse with my thumb & pinky which leaves other 3 fingers for buttons but was thinking on trying to get the death adder next for mouse wise. |

I like the OCZ Equalizer myself, yeah I know its a cheap mouse but, for gaming its great. One touch in game to a max of 2500 dpi and a one touch button to fire three single shots in rapid progression. That button is located next to the scroll wheel for very easy access, its also slightly raised and with molded grip right on it. I think I will check out a razor mouse tho. They are slightly larger and for the size of my hands I would need something like that. |
