Mmmm, is my Antec TPII 480W gonna be enough for my Q6600? The online calculator thingy thinks so. |

As long as you don't stick two 8800 Ultra cards in there, yes. |

i don't see why not. what's the wattage of the CPU and what's the total amperage of the 12V rail(s)? |

My 500w Seasonic is holding my system perfectly fine at 4ghz. You should be fine, it really does take a lot more than people think to max out a PSU (although, a little extra juice is never bad ![]() |

what's the wattage of the CPU and what's the total amperage of the 12V rail(s)? 95W, 36A with the little * as well saying the combined rails are actually only 460W I should be OK, a co-worker had the same PSU powering a freaking 6000+ and that's 30W above and beyond a Q6600. Though a 650W Seasonic is tempting. |

that psu should cover you just fine. although, as david said, more power never hurts. |

I am currently running the SeaSonic 650 watt PSU. And i like it alot. Souly because of the fact it has a really nice 120mm fan on it and the entire back of it is an open grid for air flow. Its a really nice unit ! |

Hmmm, I'm thinking about ordering the Antec Truepower Trio 650W http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=47 A quick check of the UL # shows it's actually made by Seasonic http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/temp ... /index.htm MB's got nothing in stock with better rails than my present TP-II ![]() |
