Heh... those of us who don't want to give up screenspace to a widescreen LCD but can't afford a 22"+ are still running 19" 4:3 LCDs (thus 1280X1024)...... :)

Agreed though. 3DMark benchmarks are only a quick look. Gaming FPS scores are much more important (but unfortunately not verifiable thus open to fudging of #s).

1152x864 @ 85Hz on my 17" Sony CRT here. ;)

I'll upgrade to an LCD sometime but I still find my CRT looks great for games and is a lot easier to power the graphics for then a high native-res LCD. Plus trends are cyclical and CRT's are going to be retro-cool in a year or so anyways. ;)

I'm cool with the res and size of my monitor, I just wish it had a smaller footprint.

One of my roommates actually has the LCD screen I've been contimplating getting for some time now so when he's back to living with us again (he's doing a co-op in Ontario at the moment) I'll try it out on my system and see how I like it for what I do. Oh, and it's one of those newer 2ms Samsung LCD's if anyone is wondering.
