I'm personally a big fan of the industrial look. 2x8pin power connectors and it is appently dual Caymans (not Barts), which leads me to believe that it will be 300W and scream like a banshee on speed! It also looks very heavy let's hope Matt Skynner didn't need his arm in a sling afterwards.

More specs abound:
http://fudzilla.com/graphics/item/21669-amd-radeon-hd-6990-pixellized-in-detail
2x "cards" that sport 1536 shaders each and 2GB of VRAM each (256bit bus). 1x6pin and 1x8pin power connectors (probably 2x8pin @ retail).

Sounds like a couple of 6970's clocked @ 6950 speed to me, or 6950's with all the shaders enabled (same thing I guess :P). Not unlike the 5970 was.

Hoping it pops at 699$ MSRP (or less). The lower the cost, the higher the likeliness I'll spring for it.

Better close-up of the outputs on the back...Why even bother with just one DVI port.

Because HDMI is electrically compatible with the CEA-861 signals used by Digital Visual Interface (DVI), no signal conversion is necessary, nor is there a loss of video quality when a DVI-to-HDMI adapter is used.

I'm more concerned about AMD/AIB's including miniDP->DP dongles. Now that cheapo Active Single Link DP->DVI adapters exist and work, it's not a big deal about having a bunch of DP on a card.

Of course we now have a card capable of running 5 displays in surround with a decent amount of eyecandy on!

Wouldn't it be nice if it came out before income tax time? I'm expecting a hefty return this year and this would not be out of the question. Sheesh, It's probably not out of the question yet.

[H] has a couple new articles on it, and some French site says they have one laying around.

Expect a suite of unofficial benchmarks by the weekend.

Oh, and apparently March 8th is NDA day :P

If MB can get em, and at a decent price, I'm in for one.

That was a most excellent episode of Futurama, with the eyephone...

ATTACK OF THE KILLER APP

Notice how he's holding exactly 600$, a nice round figure.

All of the Season 5 episodes I thought were top-notch.
