so i read on that asus forum that u sent me to referring to my main board. i read and read and try every configuration they had there. then i noticed something. everyone seemed to be praising the 1001 bios. i never did check to see if the bios was up to date or not. so i thought i would check via cpuid. i checked and i had 0706 or something. so i updated my bios and voila. 3.6 ghz now with no messing around 1600mhz fsb 800mhz ram and vcore set to 1.443 in the bios. and bang she booted up. im gonna turn prime 95 tonight to test for instability.

haha yeah i didn't stay up last nite to mess with it again. i think tonight is the night. im going for 4.0 ghz
i have read that some people (ones with patience) have them at 4.0 90% stable.
anyone have any neoprene they would want to part with cheep? i think i may need the peltier again

i got 3.713 ghz now. now that i know how to properly oc. lol. shes runnin hot tho idle 48-50 between the cores. no real difference in 3dmark scores. still in the 16k range. im gonna oc the video card abit once it cools off im my apt.
