Not exactly the best time of year to be trying to push a CPU to it's limits. (Unless you've got the AC keeping things under 20c.... :) ).

I've dropped my E8400 down to 3600 for the summer, and that's under a hell of a lot of water. I just find 24/7 folding gets flaky in the summer with a high OC (I had 4.3+) whether it's the CPU, Memory, or motherboard components like NB/SB/or VRMs.

If I wanted to use that much electricty 24/7 I'd just buy some A/C units and turn them on full blast all the live long day-o!

Wilson your totally right. My OC was @ 4.0 only and with ambient temps i just downed it to 3. It doesn't bother me much. Considering theres no good MMO's out or anything...

I may scale back my oc a bit. temps are really high today, but thats expected with 29C temperature...only thing i am worried about, is playing with the frequency too much and losing stability in the CPU due to "burn in" i know my old Athlon64 3000+ will struggle at any speed besides the 2.4ghz i oced and ran it at....
