I don't get why integrated graphics on motherboards haven't simply "gotten a bit better" than requiring cards like this for Windows 7. I guess they might start doing that now and these are simple for people with older computers but still it's ridiculous that something like this is needed. If you aren't a gamer than integrated graphics should be good enough.

Somebody should start selling Nvidia 'upgrade' kits, they sell for $50-$100 and include a sticker and a firmware update and voila, a new card.

After doing about 30-40 installs of Windows 7 now, I haven't had any issues with on board video not being sufficient. I could see this card being useful for a media center that either doesn't have a hdmi port or no onboard video. Competition for the HD4350, basically.

Also, dual monitor support :)

I thought most onboard video chipsets couldn't do the Windows Aero effects? Then again, I've always had a video card and since I do not plan on removing it, haven't really researched this all that much. :?

If that's the case then ya I guess it is more of an upgrade rather than something I consider bare minimum.
