AlexOtter added. He's now the CD Mark champ. What do you have for a burner?

I wonder if the type of media inserted into the CD for the test has an impact on the score?

I've got a generic LG DVD-RW IDE drive. My Windows 7 install CD was used as the test subject :P The test was run in XP because Windows 7 doesn't play nice with my DVD drive. :?

Windows7 you say?

Very interesting results and might be a sign of a better perfroming OS.

Cheers

The king of the hill in this bench is an AMD processor. If this were only a CPU test, then the bench might be skewed; however, this is a total system test.

Mind you it is an 8 Way Quad-Core Opteron 8354.

Took my E6300 up to 3.25GHz, and bumped the memory up to 924MHz, seems to be as far as my RAM will let me go. Resulting score is 1006. :D

EEE Box added (running 32 bit version of the benchmark) and Alex Otter's OC score.

Yeah just looking at the scores I try running them a few times and they very wildly by 10% (and more). I'd like to see another Phenom to see if it's just my CPU scores that suck, or this is just an Intel-sponsored bench app.

If the EEE Box beat your box, then I'd be suspicious.

It would be nice to get more AMD systems added to the list, I can even make two seperate graphs, one for Intel and one for AMD.

Cheers

how do i send u the file to compare mine?
my proc isnt far behind that i7 at all bro.
i actually got higher in some fields then the i7 setup.
and im at 4.08 ghz

not as far off as i expected thats for sure.
some of the i7 parts blew mine out the water. but i also think something isnt installed properly on my pc because one mark i had for sse was REALLY low

that system of your's is pretty smoking in this bench and goes to show just how effective good cooling can be. After I got your results I added them to the mix and then notice you benched with version 7.0, a newer version. I too had to download and bench...here are the results.

that 6GB seems to add tremendous results for the Ram test.

The below results are version 7 of the software. Anyone else want to bench?

yeah thats pretty close in some parts. not bad considering.
what do u have the i7 at for clock? 4.~ ghz roughly

i put alot of work into this system over the last while fine tuning overclocking. i think i can go abit higher and maybe clock my ram abit higher. as rite now the memory in my system is under clocked at 900mhz
yeah i see the amount of memory vs speed is irrelevant in this benchmark tool. i just have more ram. also page file disabled on my system to give it that extra bit aswell

also i didnt touch my video card oc yet. the 8800gtx will oc quite well with a full cover vga block.... so i have been reading.

i still cant fkn get 3dmark06 to run on this machine. i keep getting the openal32.dll error. i googled it tried to fix it for a week and gave up.
im gonna install my new ssd hdd this weekend with vista and xp 64 bit dual boot.

skiman are u running the 32 bit or the 64 bit of the benchmark tool?
im useing 64 bit.

Compared to both ronedogg and topsecret, my memory performance seems very low....

interesting. what memory are u running? and what speeds? and how many gb?
i just got 4x2gb ddr2 1066 axeram from transcended in my machine. i would expect that tripple chan ram or even tops ddr3 would blow mine out the water.

and of course u guys got new video cards lol lol
im still rockin a 8800gtx i got off tony. card rocks tho. maybe oc it abit and see how its looking then
