Well felt like buying myself something today, and well it came down to

The SKS is a Soviet 7.62x39mm caliber semi-automatic carbine. It's a military surplus rifle from world war 2. (unfortunatly in canada I cant use the 10 round clip, as semi automatic centre fires are limited to 5 in canada)
I had the choice of the russian make or chinese make, i went with the russian for the simple reason comes with the bayonet.

There are exceptions to the 5 round rule for collectable military rifles, you might want to dig a bit.

Gotta like that bayonet for getting into an all out berzerker rampage mode.

My two goodies are my Ruger Mini-14 and my BSA 7mm Mag. The former was voted in 1982 by Soldier of Fortune magazine as the ultimate in home defense.
