Well, EVGA X58 Classified it is!

Got a bundle deal with:

EVGA X58 Classified Mobo (759 version)
3x2gb Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600 8-8-8-24 RAM
Intel i7 920 D0 Stepping Processor

$899.00 (258.00 off reg price)

Went with one EVGA Superclocked 275 to start, will hopefully add the second in a few months.

You should hit 4.0Ghz+ on air with the DO stepping i7 and the Classified, just get a V8 cooler or the likes.

GREAT choice.

indeed good choice, and i forgot to write my reasons for hating msi, their boards have never been nice to me, and this current one has poor reviews of just be a generic board, nothing special.

I'd stick with Asus or Gigabyte. Not that I haven't had issues with Asus, but I've never had to RMA one.

I like them both, but plan to get an Evga X58 board pretty soon.

I have an Asus P5E X38 mobo, and this gigabyte X38-DS4 board. With both boards the motherboard names were on the board using a sticker. Peeling of the Asus P5E sticker reveals Asus Rampage Formula on the board. Doing the same on my Gigabyte X38-DS4 reveals X48-DQ6. lol
I can install three different motherboard bios on my Asus board. First is the original P5e bios, then the Rampage Formula bios, and then the P5E deluxe.

Highest OC = 4388.9Mhz @1.33v / ram @ 2090Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T 1.65v(haven't tried higher)
