With the equalizer, which is extremely similar in design as the G5, the back arch is fairly high. This is designed to fit the majority of mousing styles. But they are more tuned to the palm mousing style, which is basically, pinky on one side, thumb on the other, and palm more or less rests on the back arch of the mouse.

Razer's mice have a much lower profile on their back arch, which allows for the 'claw' mousing style, which has been thoroughly tested by another online site to be hands down the most accurate way to mouse.

The claw style is basically pinky on one side, thumb on the other, and JUST the tips of your action fingers touch the buttons, with your palm raised off the arch and your wrist on your pad.

Razer have written documents on this as well, and it is the main reason they design their products with those ergonomics.

The deathadder is kind of the exception to the rule. It is designed to allow you to rest ur palm but still maintain wrist stability when mousing.

Hope this influences your next purchase

Yeah I have fairly big hands & palm never touches the mouse. We'll see if I can get a good enough deal on one or not. If not i'm happy with the lightness & dpi range of the equalizer.

I found it worked quite well. My knuckles rest where the palm is supposed to sit. Overall its reasonably comfy. I find it preforms well. For 27 bucks its good bang for the buck.

I really like the look of some of the razor mice but I dont see a on the fly switch for the dpi.

Actually, Razer has some of the best on the fly sensitivity switching, hold in the alt button and scroll your mouse wheel up or down to fine tune your sens, and a nice on screen display comes up to tell you how low/high it is.

hmm..I may have to try that. I am still kinda partial to the one touch step up. However..there are times that I wish it was lower and that would prove useful. hmmm how much are these things anyways, I may have to go shoppin'

mine does it in game. I can change the dpi and the scroll wheel changes color to reflect the higher dpi.

Yes I know I have one remember? lol I was wondering if the Razer did it on screen while in game which is why I quote Phonix.

Yes it works in-game with any game, and uses a directx hook to show an on screen display meter with sens info.

Alright - so while on lunch I picked up the 3G - was kinda distracting seeing a horde of 'skantily clothed' women running around Scotia square mall lol.

Its more comfortable than my current OCZ Equalizer. Going to test it out tonight on a little COD4 and see how it goes.

Also been eying a few Razor keyboards as well. Still very partial to the G11 but may have to make the switch.

I just read a few reviews on each mouse, my current and this one. Have to say not many reviewers had much to say in positive terms regarding the performance of the ocz. The short of it - it sucks. They didnt have much to say negatively in regards to the 3G - more or less a few things they would have liked to see. But to each they're own.

Looking forward to giving 'er tonight with it and see if I return it tomorrow.

I didnt check but are they're firmware or driver updates available for the 3G?
