OK

XP Pro - WMP will not continue on from the last song being played in the playlist or even load that playlist, I start WMP, it starts off from some random song, and goes random from there, I have to load the playlist in again.
Vista - seems to work as per WMP10, although it seems to take it about 30sec to find the WMA that was being played when it was closed.

It boggles the freaking mind

I vote Winamp for all around suite, Foobar2000 for music, and VLC for video.

I'm a Winamp fan myself. The J key "Jump to Song" with the list being filtered as you type is great and I love being able to quickly que songs in a play order as well because sometimes you don't want to stop the rocking that random play sometimes does. ;)

Yep good ol' Winamp, IRC, and doing good old semi-fashioned html pages.

Those were the days.

Oh and playing hardcore Ultima Online.

I still use the classic skin

I can remember using pre 1.0 versions of Winamp.

But yeah, my votes stay the same.

The one feature I miss from Winamp is the little stat when you pressed 'F1' it would should you how many songs (and time of the songs) you ever listened to heh.

Winamp v2.94 was my fav. Have upgraded to latest since as I can get much better and more 1/2 nekked women on random at each song change. sigh. :P

Yup, first thing Winamps faithful users get to hear!!

But it HAS become a bit of a resource junkie, and a little too flashy and 'bell and whistley' for me. Foobar is by far the superior music player.

I agree. I also hate it trying to hijack all my video files every time I install/update it. Speaking of hijacking, how's the WMP issue going Doc? :)

I use winamp for music and VLC for video except for divx and xvid I use BS player for those just because I watch a lot of tv shows and the ability to re-size with the scroll of the mouse wheel is very handy. But for audio I've always been a winamp user and yes I do agree it's getting to be a bit of a hog.
