House is a bit more expensive than a few hundred sq. ft apartment.

I recall his house being 4000.00 sq ft. So 25kwh would be a normal running day for a "green" person. Kids, lights being left on here an there once and a while. Laundry, dishes and vaccum would be utilized more.

Basically it comes down to more house= more heat, outlets, etc = more power.

If you can afford it all the power to ya :D

And Ski has a few good toys too 8)

The Mrs pays the power bill, so I just leave everything on without a care or regard for how much it costs her.

Lots of 100w bulbs, a big screen and hefty computer in every room, along with towel heaters in all four bathrooms, two showers each day for the four of us, night security lights around the entire premise, ceiling fans, air conditioning, with ice makers in each major room. One must not have to walk far for ice; otherwise, one might as well become a savage.

I also have a heated driveway, but that wasn't on in July, nothing like watching your neighbours shovel.
