Fresh from the MysteryByte bench...

Keep in mind, I just slapped this card in and ran some benchmarks. There's definitely some room for improvement. Nothing was overclocked.

Core i7 920 / MSI X58M / OCZ Obsidian Black 6GB @ 1333mhz / WD 320GB SATA2

And it just fit into an Antec 300. Be sure to check your case dimension before you upgrade.

'06 is so 2005... If it's the full version, you should max out the res., AA and AF, you'll probably get the same score or close to it. Find yourself a 30" and go for it.

Just for the fact there are way more than that bench to convince me that ATI has pulled something good from their budget silicon that wont be surpassed by the same generation of team green.

I'm waiting for Steve-o to put the rest of the words in that sentence.

The '06 score sucks, I beat that with a 3 year old CPU and a couple of $100 GPU's

I can agree 100% with you there.

I think I have a E8400 and a 8800 GTS with more... Now it's scrounge time to find it.

lmao @ steve-o

Well I am sure the card is fine, drivers arent there yet tho. Giver a month or so and it should be a little better. I just wanna see the thing run something dx11 capable to see how it performs.

as for team green, sure, it may be well worth the wait, they are aware of this and are hoping people use this time to save up enuff money in the waiting period to be able to buy one when it finally comes out :P as I am sure its going to be in the $700 range lol

It would appear that I'm no better, though I did have a few rums into me.

How is that a failure?

Newer hardware at lower default clocks equalling your best O/C results?

Regardless of how many fps your 260 can produce, you're not going to get anywhere near the same level of eye candy, especially for when they come, DX11 games.

The default settings on 3DM series might make the benchmarking field even to a degree, but it doesn't allow for the full strength of the hardware to shine through like if it were benched at 1920x1080 versus an older resolution of 1280x1024.

I got a default 3dmark score of 12890. 12814 on all max at 19x12, nothing overclocked. Still waiting for my raid card to get back from whatever state of denial it's in and I'll jam some Windows 7 on there and see what vantage throws at me.

There will be new 9.10's come the 22nd (Win7 launch) or soon before that, so I'll see if it affects my score in XP. I tried some beta 9.10RC6ish drivers and it borked up, and even after a clean uninstall/install with the drivers from the CD, CC gives an error and closes on startup.

Yeah MB should do some EXTREEM quality benchmarks and see what the score is then, if anything to compare tween AMD and Intel.

If you haven't been following the last oh 5 years of shenanigans with futuremark and DAAMiT/NV "optimizing" for it (Intel was "caught" just last week), you'll know why I don't take anything seriously by them.
