It seems to be a decent game, but once again another game ruined by "The Way It's Meant to be Played"

Since it's also Unreal 3 engine, there is no way to enable AA on ATi cards "properly" in DX9. I guess I'll give it another whirl once I get Windows 7.

This game needs AA to be on, otherwise the jaggies detract totally from the game, since it's "cartoonish" and has black lines everywhere outlining everything.

Kinda hard to tell in this shrunken jpeg, but AA ain't there, and it's annoying.

I haven't noticed it too much. First time I started it, a lot of the textures were black. Then I realized I probably needed to update my video drivers.

I'm having fun with it so far, but it's gonna get put down for a bit in favour of Forza 3 tomorrow.

Apparently, if you have the retail version and NOT the steam version, you can change borderlands.exe to ut3.exe and force AA from the CCC to get actual AA in the game.

Also there seems to be a huge FPS hit if you are using dynamic shadows with AA. Will try it tonight and let y'all know.

Supersampling is the shizzle, or so i've read!

For those of you who are playing this via pc and wish there was a way to "deconsolize" the game a little. There are pc tweaks available to help with game play, remove the into movies, adjust field of view, Adjust/disable weapon view bob, enable v-sync etc etc. These are not hacks to give an unfair advantage - but more over to adjust the personal game play on your pc to your liking.

This game has completely stole my life over the last week.

Just beat it tonight @ lvl 36.

Played entire game thru multiplayer with the clan mates.

There's like 10 of us playing it, so we can trade and swap items and help power level.

Anyone who's playing it on PC share your character's stats, I'll post mine later.

Also, for those that are having problems connecting to other players, try gameranger, its like xfire with a built in vpn for lan games.

Wow, surprised you didn't drop your berserker earlier for a better class.

I'm up to lvl 40 now.

In the clan we have:
3 Hunters
1 Soldier
3 Sirens
1 Berserker

And some others but they're low level so I won't list haha

Anyone having trouble hosting or joining games?

I have the fix...

I plan on a 50 of each class, personally the beserker isn't so bad provided you build him properly and play his stregths. I have played with people that play there roles very well so when you have some chemistry it works even better.

I have heard people rip on every class, the balancing needs some tweaks. Especially when hunters have skills like tresspass.

missions have lvl rankings so you have to watch what missions you take on and when. you may have to do some grinding or weapon hunting before you take it on.

Yup! And if you ever get stuck on a mission that's too high level, go around killing lower level enemies (or similar level enemies) until you rank up. Always strategize before running a combat heavy quest. Make a game plan, pick your approach, and stick to it, while always having an escape route.

Best rule to follow: Take down their shield with electrified weapons, hit them with a long term damaging weapon (corrosive/fire etc) then as they bleed out, pick away at them from a distance with sniper rifles or another safe distance weapon.

Also, make sure you always play your characters strengths (siren=elemental/quick, hunter=sniper rifles/distanced, soldier=combat rifles/smg/run and gun, berserker=melee/shotgun/launcher/strength)

If you're truly stuck on any particular quest, go multiplayer and request some help with it. I'd be more than willing to help anyone here complete any quest or mission throughout the game!

i got through it well enough. went over to scag valley and found a mission sitting on a table at my level and did that. got some new, bigger guns and then kicked the ass of the mission i was stuck in.
also, i'm not taking this online as it's not a "full" version if you catch my drift.
