Reading this thread is making me even more depressed. I've found myself in quite a hole with a very grim future. Was in a happy place now not so much.

Well Tony...

Sometimes life do throw us all curveballs to set us back sometimes quite alot. I been there ( and still working thru it)and most if not all of us have. One thing thats uniform with us all is the fact that no one, but ourselves can make the decision to do better and go with it or hope to win the lottery or that things will change on they're own.

we all know it wont change on its own.

people who plan, strive and with a small sacrifice (when seen over all the course of several years is small all things considered), come out on top. It does take hard work and even more patience. One can decide to remain as they are and continue to make bad decisions or decide to make some good ones. But when u are where you wanna be and look back, I bet you a really friggin happy you did.

Another thing we all know is that is so very easy to get into a hole but so very very hard to climb back out. It takes alot of time and alot of hard work as very few of us are born with a silver spoon in our mouth. Make some good decisions, put off things you want, pay the bills, crawl ahead.

Start an rrsp, put in the minimum if thats all you can do. Come yr end theres a nice tax refund. take the money the govt gives you, stick that back in your rrsp and make money on thier money then the following yr you get a bigger tax credit and so on - just a thought. Theres only really one way to go and thats up. Anything else is just plain retarded.

My job matches my RRSP contributions up to 4% of our salary. The thought of not maxing that out just makes me sick. It's free money people! :)

I love co-op so much. I'm going to graduate university debt free and with experience, and that'll set me miles ahead of any of my friends.

As for paying bills and buying stuff, I just put it all on my Visa, then pay that off the same day when I get home (online). Rewards points like mad.

I have a couple things to take care of first then i'd be up for that for sure. I'm in quite the predicament right now with like I said a very grim future. but I don't think things could get much worse so least I have something to look forward to lol.

Anyone start doing this to help themselves get ahead? I just received a letter stating an account balance was $0 and that the account has been closed as I requested.

Kind of nice to get the letters.

too drunk to look to see if you're telling the truth or fibbing. Too drunk to get there too.

I know a few people were interested in doing this, I'm just wondering how everyone is progressing on this?

I took the last 4 pays off paying down my debt, however starting again the Dec 31st pay.

I will have my furniture paid off as planned, which is a bonus.

Only a car payment and mortgage and other regular bills. Not bad on single income..

The old lady just finished her other degree and should be doing some transcription from home soon. Will be nice to have more liquor money. But honestly we will probably just put it away and trade in the car we only had for a year for the new Tuscon's coming out starting around 21,000.00.

Why don't we start our own multi level marketing scheme selling insurance 8)
