Here is the report from HD Tach from my setup. How much of a difference would I see by using something like the Adaptec 1430SA instead of onboard. Still using the 3 raptors in Raid 0. I might be able to cram that in if I got an external sound card lol.

I did a fair amount of research and I came to the conclusion of 2405. There are better ones out there but they do cost more.

Even just looking thru the customer reviews at some place like Gnuegg will give a better idea of what to get.

The below was run on two SSDs in RAID0 on the Intel Raid chipset found on the Rampage II Extreme.
