Well I "was" happy with this transition to windows 7 once i figured out the mouse software issue but now I am plagued with more problems. I bought a samsung 2233 120hz monitor and the 3d vision glasses from nvidia and boom, BSOD everywhere. spent 2 days changing and cleaning drivers but apparently it is a common problem they have not worked out yet. So I am done with 7 for now. Formatting tonight and going back to vista. Its not like vista was slow on my system to start with, but I just dont have the patients to deal with all the problems. Hell I have not seen a BSOD on my system in at least 5 years. I did manage to get it working for about 5 mins and I was very impressed with the effect. Cant wait to get this sorted out.

My lockups are still occuring, just not as often with this 4770. Guess I have no choice but to get a bigger PSU and see if that fixes it.

Well a new PSU didn't solve it. Nothing running, trying to run a youtube video full screen locks up every time (4770). Uninstalling Adobe Flash for now.

I haven't seen a single BSOD while using Windows 7, and I've been using it since the public Beta. :?

well as a last ditch effort i tried an older combination of drivers for the graphics card and stereo receiver and it solved the problem. Finally works which is great. Love the OS but it has been finicky. Good for now so thats all that matters

When I was at university I had my system hooked up to an old Stereo NAD receiver and a nice pair of book-shelf speakers. I liked it a lot. :)

Oh... ya that doesn't make sense to me either. Then again when I was living with a couple friends last year our wireless router started working once again after one of the guys started taking his Dell-O-L laptop out of the range of it daily. As soon as he came back at night with it the router would start dropping connections again, so I've seen things *almost* as weird. ;)

yeah i guess i should have reworded that. When i said stereo receiver i was referring to the stereo receiver for the Nvidia 3d vision glasses.

Well I updated the BIOS to 2002 (Dec 7th) and i updated the ACHI drivers (MB_WIN7_ATK), and now when youtube screws up, only IE crashes, and not windows.

So that was the issue there I think.
