I didn't think you guys had these in stock or I would have purchased it from MB.

The guys @ MB were nice enough to set one aside for Friday morning pickup !!

So on Friday, dismantle my gaming rig, rebuild from scratch, rewire, cable management, swap the parts out to the CM690 for the current rig. Going to be a little time consuming.

but yay!!!

Are you using the 690 for the gaming case instead of the 900v2?

good question.

The 900v2 only because the 690 isnt dustless. the 900v2 is.

Its a pain in the arse to dust a case every few weeks. The 690 is arguably a better case in design but I like to keep things clean. I am going to rethink this over a beer lol

I was only mentioning it because of the 200mm fan for exhaust on the 900 i have a 690 aswell (was my old gaming case) but i think youll get better air flow from the 900v2 Im pretty sure that one 200mm 134cfm on high is better then 2 x 120mm (antec tri speed 92cfm) for top exhaust lol, id have an antec aswell for my case a 1200 if only they would put a bottom intake for power supply and an extra bottom intake fan.

agreed, a bottom 120 would be nice. The 690 does have mounting for about 7 120mm fans. Thats alot of air.

My point was that the case is very well designed, I really like the layout for cable management etc - the only downside - its pulls in dirt.

Just went and picked up my 965 BE. Dunno if I'm going to install it til I get a new gcard though. I think I might order a 5850 from mb tomorrow if there is any in stock.

That wallpaper did induce giggles. awesome.

I do however notice that your vcore is alot lower than I expected. Is that correct I wonder. I was expecting ~1.312v. Hows temps?

Idling round 30C on stock cooler, not surprising considering I used the thermal pad pre attached to the hsf.

One thing I found odd is that with those heatpipe coolers they barely fit in the socket and once i got mine in, i couldn't use the lever to lock it, had to use force which worked the same and gave proper tension but still kinda weird.

Dunno how different it is from the other PII x4 coolers but it worried me til I seen everything running smooth.

Everest is the only benchmarking tool i used (lolz i know) but it seems to really favor it on this configuration.
