[H] has a running emo drama of the whole shebang. I would have posted here sooner but it's a non-event, from a supplier if you mention on a post will be swooshed away into the rubbish bin.

So we're allowed to talk about newegg now on the forums?

Found a youtube video last night of an unboxing where the customer was oblivious to the contents of the box. Needless to say, his reaction was priceless.

"What...The....Hell....Is....This!!!!!!"

Also had one where the kid actually installs the cpu and is like wtf?

From what I've read the Ipex that sells Intel components is actually a "wholly owned subsidiary" of an actual genuine Intel reseller.

They were apparently are a "grey" market vendor. A grey market is the trade of a commodity through distribution channels which, while legal, are unofficial, unauthorized, or unintended by the original manufacturer.

Though I guess now they are a "black" market.

Lead is a fairly poor conductor of electricity.

When compared to stuff like copper and gold and whatnot. It's what I read on the interwibbles. I don't make stuff up, just my research may be suspect.

Lead is, in fact, a poor conductor of electricity. The reason that lead-acid batteries are so common is because, compared to other materials, Lead, Lead Dioxide and Sulfuric Acid are dirt-cheap. Their power-weight ratios suck, and if somebody discovered a desert of Lithium salts, we'd probably never see Lead-Acids again.

It's probably not lead, more likely it's 63% Tin and 37% Lead, which was the common makeup of solder prior to RoHS. Or it could be 96.5% Tin with the rest made up of copper and silver which is the lead free solder makeup.
