Yeah that's quite crazy enough. Wonder what the power draw (or lack of) on that one is.

I got rid of any IDE drives I had years ago heh.

I have an operation, Halif Newf has a project and now you have a mission!

lol too friggin funny.

Think we got all the bases covered now with the operation, mission and project.

I must say - thats a killer server. What ya going to load on it for an os? Linux?

I may have some pc133 at home as well if ya want it - I will have to check cause I may have tossed it.

I also have an old 40G IDE that you can have as well if you want.

Now as for ideas - Google up some skull stencils. Print 'er off, cut it out and Krylon on some crazy skulls, or pink hello kitty complete with devil horns.

oh the sacrifices one makes.

We all collectively feel your pain as the burden of giving up the work space as surely shortened your life span.

I feel a group hug coming.

I have a 250gig WD IDE drive you can have if you want. I'm not 100% sure it works but if I remember right it came out of a working system after the motherboard blew.

some updates:

finally had time to dig the parts out and start building the system, ended up sticking with the desktop (as in lays horizontal lol beast is a classic!, pics when i upload them) it was in (gonna save the haf for something crazier) so far specs are:

Amd Athlon Slot A 600 @ 933mhz
Custom hsf contraption (finding it difficult to get a waterblock on a slot A, anyone with ideas?)
512megs pc-133
32 meg voodoo 3 3000 with a HSF off a FX series card
2 port 4 drive ata133 pci raid card + Adaptec scsi card
Pci Gigabit lan card
40 gig ide drive (Thanks to Hali_newf!)
some random speed cd-rw

as for os, its got xp sp2 to get it booted, im VMware on the i7 iv been playing around with WS 2003 /2008/home server, and ubuntu 10.4 beta and suse 11, havent decided which would be best

I am guessing linux would be better for an older system like that.
