quick math says at a constant 15mbps the most you can download in a day is 166GB.

however, that'll still burst a 250GB cap within a month :P
so a 30mbps or 100mbps service would be entirely useless since the only reason for the average person to want that speed is to get their HD movie rips faster off the torrents.

Monkeydee, your math is correct. Doesn't knock the fact that I started about 210gb of transfer yesterday at 7am and when I woke up this morning it was done...

Oh I'm sure we'd all like to see that 210GB Hentai fact in a screenshot. (no, actually we wouldn't)

If you care about seeding (like I do), here's how 2Mbps up on the 30 Mbps service will affect you:

Assuming you seed consistently at 150KB/s (not quite your max) for the entire month:
(150 KB/s * 2592000 s [30 days in seconds]) = 370.788574 gigabytes uploaded alone.

Good luck with that 250GB cap. ;)

Unfortunately Eastlink hates me and my tracker or my tracker hates me and Eastlink.

I can get uploads from TPB torrents no problems. My tracker is pretty much 0 all the time for uploads. Methinks it's because they blocked all the listening ports, but i'm sure it's more nefarious.

I am not a pessimist by no means - but by the way things are just starting to go with isp's my guess is that its only going to get more and more frustrating as they are going to nickle and dime the public to death as just two isp's aren't enough to keep things like that from happening.

When I see caps, bills per usage and crap like that it makes me feel like this guy on the inside.....

It won't exist until late July, there is no bandwidth cap until then.
