looking for a decent but cheap heatpipe tower (no smaller then 120mm) for am2+, cpu is 5200+ @ 3.0,but i want a lot of head room, could H2O it but seems a bit much work just for a spare gaming system, right now has the oem hsf from one of the phenom II's (think the one from the 925)

been looking at the Noctua NH-D14 and Noctua NH-C12P SE14, also price wise i was looking at the GELID Solutions Tranquillo. any thoughts?

I've put a NH-C12P SE14 into a friends system, it's a pretty good cooler, easy to install. You just have to make sure you have enough room around it (and it can be a pain plugging in the ATX12V or EPS12 power conectors)

the 5200 doesnt generate a whole hell of alot of heat - I would say even skimp out a little and get the Freezer 7 pro that would run it fine.

The rev.2 freezer 7 uses a 92mm fan instead of the rev.1 80mm

well you can run them both. Slave the HDD or something. Set the optical drive to master and put in on position 1 on the cable, set the pin to slave on the hdd and use the 2nd position or something. Would work fine.

I did that back in the windows 98 days lol
