All over, lots of power outages, only 1 drowning.

The radio has been blaring things for us to prepare.

Like - put bags and bottles of water in the freezer to help keep things frozen and to have water just in case power goes and issues with water

have cash on hand cause if power goes, some small stores will still be open cash only.

have extra - food, water, candles, weed, beer, blankets etc on hand

take lawn furniture and bbq's inside or extensively tie down.

do all your pooping on Thursday night and only pee on Friday - and when you do poop on Thursday, fold the toilet paper at least two times if its after 7 pm and once if earlier.

"predictions" say the storm intensity will be the same as Juan. If so, I am parking my car well away from trees.

If Bill was any indication last year, people won't do squat. I took a trip down to TorBay to check out the surf in advance of Bill. People were still camped out within feet of the shoreline, nothing was secured and the waves at TorBay wre pretty awesome. Even in the hour before it hit peoples decks and yards were littered with toys and furniture that would be projectiles in a Hurricane, luckily Bill hit as a mere post tropical depression.

I'll be making sure I have fuel for my stove and lantern, that my solar station is operational, my car is full of gas and I have plenty of food that can't go bad.

I'm not looking forward to Earl as I live less than 100 feet away from the coast. :(

LOL .. yeah I don't think this one is going to be pretty at all. Right now it's tracking so the eye will pass directly over where I live near the most Southern tip of NS. The wind direction will be what makes it so bad here with it starting to the SE and going around to the West is bad news.

if it's yellow, let it mellow. if it's brown, flush it down. by saturday morning many people will not have the ability to "flush it down". so do the brown on thursday or friday and then just do the yellow and hold the brown as long as you can after the power goes out. as for the folding, conserve paper because you never know how long you'll be without a new supply.

i just about kill this or what?

anyway, a daytime strike means lots of onlookers coming to coastal communities like mine. here's a notice, if i see you drowning you're on your own. i'm not going out to help you and i'm not calling emergency services to save your dumb ass. this is a hurricane, keep the hell away from the coastline if you like living.

I was being a lil random with the whole toilet paper bit. I used to smoke hoards of weed several yrs ago, Guess the mental effects stay a lil longer than I thought they would LOL

well if it hits the way its looking to - winds upward of 160-170km/h is going to do lots of damage. If its confirmed its going to be that bad later in the week - this newf's car is going to the parkade downtown next to work for the duration lol

sh*tty thing is hot humid weather will do nothing but fuel a hurricane.

And they also bring hot humid weather with the aftermath. Think I'm going to go look for a small cheap ac unit.
