Hey Phonix, is that 5850 a reference design? PM me a price if you're interested in selling it.

Thx!

there is no winner nor fail.

We know how they both (or should) optimize software fo ruse on their cards as well as how many sites are biased. Not to mention people on here.

I would stick with what you have. You shoudl NEVER chase technology anyways. It's as bad as a gambling addiction.

It doesn't work 100% of the time , but definately a strong selling point for the 6950 for now. Hopefully AMD leaves the next batch the same.
I was thinking about getting a GTX 570 in february, but not sure after learning this.
I'm so used to upgrading vid cards every year, that I might buy one even though there's not much for me to gain.

I saw a 6970 literally "explode" at work today. Fire and smoke. Caused by a new Rosewill 900w psu. Hooked it all up then boom! Not impressed by Rosewill as it most likely toasted the mb and everything else attached to it. Was sad.

Ya, This isn't the first I read about roswell PSU's screwing up and making some colleratal damage. I have come across simular stories on the net about them. Avoid them like the plague.
