It's everyone's favourite time of year!

I'm a card-carrying member (if they ever mail out the damn cards) of The Pirate Party. Too bad they probably won't have any runnign locally, so I'll probably vote Green again.

On a overall good note, the latest iteration of the Canadian DMCA died on the floor with the no confidence vote.

i'm less decided on this one than ever before. my vote will go first based on local candidate and second based on party behaviour during the campaign. the more attack ads and personal attacks a party launches the less likely i'll be to vote for them.

I'm glad someone else is doing the same thing as myself.

Along with steveo. I'm pretty sure I'm voting green party as well. I haven't heard anything from them.

Not to mention the bash ads on TV... Its funny when you look up the actual quote of what they said and see how twisted around it is.

I'm surprised by how many other Green Party voters there are here as they are who I usually vote for as well. Even when I look at their platform with the environment stuff aside (which is important to me) I still find they have similar views on the economy and social policies as me.

Well, local candidate aside, I've had enough of Harper, but I can't support a guy that looks like a sleazy used car salesman either :P

just a debate ben-dover..but ..anwser the bold

first bold...what has harper done and not done for your....(not flogging the conservities or anything but keep i mind the HST decrease,,,

and second bold...are your refering to michael?? LOL!

honestly, i know lots of people may be against conserviteive, but when we lookat their accomplishments as a minority gov. its pretty good, and the things againdst them, the major would be the whole modifyinga document thing...which i didnt pay much attention to because honestly it was stupid and blow by the press..second is the stay of parliment which was "because of the afghan detainees" which is BS because reallty...EVERY COUNTRY DOES IT....harper although it may be viewed as sleezy, did what needed to be doen to curb the press.....honestlty i see it as the PC hasnt dones anything to completely screw us federally so im in....and it would be a cold day in hell before i see a NDP federally..and the thoughts even though Ignateff bothers me, a "coalaliton (debates setaside) with the NDP and BLOC.....i would rather a nuclear holocost...(i.e. i will move to japan)

OK, if there is a majority government, you asked for it. If you want a Canadian DMCA, billions wasted on more superjails, billions and billions wasted on fighter jets (and I think it'll cost MORE than 35 billion), and a whole lot more zany stuff, then welcome to Harperland.

Minorty (or hung parlaiment) governments is what's best for all. We just need less elections.

We don't need 35 Billion + worth of Jets...maybe we start by getting back the Jets back from Pheonix :P.

We still are over a year away from getting usable Helos for our navy. Not to mention the last batch of cancelled choppers (I think it was the Libs who messed that one up, but I digress).

Oh, I'm gonna vote, but it's gonna be for a party whose platform I don't support in any way.

Any time I see Iggy, the first word that pops into my head is weasel, and not in the good Cow and Chicken kind of way.

2 attempts at bringing in US style DMCA, Harpers almost dictator like attitude - not allowing his MP's to speak for themselves, says HE makes the rules, sheer arrogance, much like a former NS Premier...

Well, If I vote. I'm voting for Harper. The other retards will have the Military looking like a damn Libyan rebel army. The Destroyers we got will be getting their Antique plates soon from RMV. We still have the Sea kings flying that are Antiques as well. I'm telling you. If the PC's loose. The military will become Canadian Coast Guard.

a little old now, but that is something that really did it for me. trying to take away sources of revenue for NS combined with Rodney MacDonald's cooked books has really left us in a sorry state with very little ability to start up revenue generating projects.

I just wish this were something on any party's mind. However, the only thing that is certain is that the Government of Harper will not entertain the idea of letting NS keep more of our oil dollars.
Alberta and Newfoundland get to keep significant portions of their oil money, so why the hell can't we? i'd rather the money from a wealth generating project than from equalization payments which could be altered in any federal budget.

The comment was also made here about the "Canadian DMCA". Remember that the Paul Martin Liberals were the first with that idea and it will more than likely come back under either Harper or Ignatieff.

Our military is a lost cause.

Solution.

Let the US build a base and bring forces up here. And we can host their customer support building.

Coast guard is pretty competent. They are a more qualified military.. Hmmm switch roles?

In my experience, the military has been dumped on by both the Con's and the Fib's. back in the Mulroney era the Reserves certainly didn't get the training dollar's required, with Chretien, the dollars went downhill to say the least. With the switch from C7's to C7A1's our company couldn't even arm a platoon anymore, and this was Infantry.
