Way to go Iggy, couldn't even win your own seat it seems, maybe he'll go back to the states now.

BQ seems to have had their walking papers served as well.

Makes one go hrmmmmm.

Other than the fact that Nova Scotia shrunk a bit, voting trends were par for the course, even though the results didn't change much from 2008 (more NDP votes = less seats, system broken much?).

Ya, he seems like a good guy and I'm glad he won but I voted Green. I figured he was a shoe-in anyways so I wanted the Greens to get whatever fraction of a percent my vote gave them in the popular vote, plus the $2 that goes along with it.

61.4% turnout, not including the people who just "showed up"...not as high as I had hoped but not as bad as it could have been.

Voting trends didn't change that much, the ind. was Bill Casey, who as you may google got kicked out of the con's and ran as an independent, only when he retired and a byelection was held did it go back to being con. and thus remained the same.

How quickly Colchester CO. forgot why Bill Casey made the stand and got kicked out, just for them to hand the keys back...Conservatives will rain supreme and never change as long as we keep "forgetting" everytime they maul the Canadian constitution and legally binding agreements for there own gains.

I know what you mean. I grew up in Colchester and it was always disappointing to see how much blind Conservative support there was there. Bill Casey was really just the exception when he left the party and ran as an independent but that was only because he was so liked. As soon as he retired it was back to the same.
