Oh hey, Bobby Kotick wants ALL OF YOUR MONEY!

Quote:
Activision executives said they haven't yet figured out how much to charge for the service, but they expect the cost to be less than fees for comparable online-entertainment services, such as a $7.99-a-month Netflix Inc. movie subscription. Portions of the service will be free, including features inspired by Facebook Inc. that will let "Call of Duty" players meet for online gun battles with others who share various affiliations and interests.

I can totally see that backfiring on them, Battlefield 3 is looking better and better all the time.

So

Game $60
DLC $15 each
Live $10/month (3sucky anyway)
EA P2P (pay to play) Let's say $5 minimum, probably be closer to $10

 No wonder I don't really game anymore or play games that are close to a decade old.

ANNNNND, no dedicated servers for MW3...
http://fudzilla.com/games/item/22947-modern-warfare-3-will-again-not-offer-dedicated-servers

Anyone who buys this steamy pile of Activision poo deserves what they pay (and not pay) for.

I can't say I really blame them. There are still going to be droves of people rushing to buy the game and all the crap activision wants to charge for.
Kotick's attitude may be poison, but he gets money for activision's shareholders, and that's all they care about.
