I don't know if you mentioned it or not.

But is that a comfy Corbin seat I see?

nice choice. Those bikes run great - excellent for a beginner to learn the ins and outs on while remaining very light and easy to handle - not to mention very cheap on fuel. They are not great on the highway tho as they are maxed out. But for rides on the back roads where 80km/h is the limit - they will do. Personally, unless the person is very petite, I would suggest a 250 - much more power and better handling, but that 125 would do ya woman just fine.

Yes thats a Corbin. Form fitting curves on it, very very nice and so very different over stock, especially when on for a longer ride. I love it and would suggest it to anyone. Corbin makes em for pretty much any make and model.

600's aren't what they used to be from years ago. Alot of the sportbikes in the 600 class have a redline of 15 grand. That's screaming, but they come alive when running higher rev's. They will also surprise you with just how much hp and torque they have while remaining light in the twisties.

well I cant say I blame you, I lucked out on mine, yes I did pay but for what I got I am satisfied on the deal. I noticed a bike like mine on kijiji for example, 50k on it and 11 yrs old and they expect 5k for it. they are truly retarded.

My advice borders on common sense, Keep your eyes open and be patient. If you like something go see the bike in person and talk with the owner ( hopefully its a mature adult or a very mature and responsible young person who is meticulous with proper care). Gauge the attitude if ya get a bad vibe, walk.

I visited the owner of the bike I bought a few times and asked tons of questions.

Yup.

If the bad vibe isn't there but a warm engine cover is prior to starting it up... Then I walk as well.

Gotta see a cold start.

But I did find a importer that does runs to quebec alot and is coming back with more bikes on the 15th.

But with the new budget I may wait till next year and bomb around on this bike for the season. It's donky but neat, real neat :D

be very very very very weary of Frosties in Dartmouth.

he does no checks on the bikes he sells. I know people that went there, all horror stories. One dude bought a bike there and an alarm kept going off on it - he took it back and he had no idea the bike even had one before selling

sketchy.

Also, I dont know from personal experience here, again only a negative repeat but the dude is apparently abrasive, will not negotiate at all.

worse:

Another guy who bought one, was told the bike was in great shape, looked and seemed to be ok, but when it was registered at the dmv, it had been in an accident and they would not register until he went to a shop to have a fitness test performed on the bike to certify it fit to drive.

if this is the guy just a heads up - I wouldnt want you to be added to the list of crappy things to come out of bikes that he gets shipped in from Quebec.

Oh hells no it's not frosties.

Someone will cap that motherfucker eventually. He's crooked as ol' shit.

The guy in Eastern PAssage certify's them at Powertrend. They're in my books not necessarially the most reputable shop but then again. None are around here.

But powertrend does an alright job from what I hear and they do the checks for this guy. Maybe ill drop by and do a followup on him.

I'll let it be known here once I do.

ok good. very best of luck in finding a great deal for a sweet bike.

Brand names are brand names to each their own, go sit on it, make sure it fits and fits you well. If you would like a 2nd set of eyes just ask and I can make myself available.

I am partial to Kawasaki myself cause of past bikes and performance. It did dictate what I bought to an extent, but because of the bike, how its rated and cost I went with a different brand and I am still very happy.

Well the larger bike will be my 6th in total.

Disregard liscence length mind you. Hah

But I will definitely call you. Especially if the title is sal or reb.

well alot of the time a bike can get a salvaged title from being dropped. we both know this does nothing but cosmetic damage.

Let me know when you are ready to go have a look at something. Also be prepared to do a little work to it after you buy it, unless the dealer is doing those things before sale and ask to see the worksheet on any/all work performed on it.
