Hey anyone/everyone,

I've been out of the motherboard loop for quite some time and needs some help deciding on what to purchase while building a new PC. Already have an Intel Core i5 2400 Processor (3.1GHz, 6M) and 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz. A couple requirements are RAID0, onboard audio not necessary, Crossfire support, and room for upgrading better faster CPU/RAM. I've always been an ASUS fan (not necessary though) and don't want to blow $400 if can be helped. Any suggestions would be appreciated as opinions seems to be mixed between the 3 chpiset 1366, 1155 and 1156. Oh and I'm a hardcore gamer.

Thanks in advance.

I've been really happy with the ASUS P8P67 Pro- I've been using it for about 8 months now and have had no issues, very stable, overclocks like a champ if that's what you are into (though you'll need a 'K' series processor for that).

the socket that your on currently (1155) has pretty well reached its maximum speeds/upgrades..so any motherboard that has the specs your looking for are going to offer the same max cpu type, intel is planning to release thier new tech soon enough...guess what im saving is remove any 1156 and 1366 mobos from your list as they dont support your cpu and plain and simple wont work

If you want to run CF, make sure the board is at least x8/x8, x16/x4 boards suck at CF.

+1 on that.

Even if you dont really plan on running CF, still best to have the option and not use it than not have the option at all.
