But i can confirm this crapbox 360 does have the extra heatsink with heatpipe.Here's the deal if you want a new xbox360 as opposed to a refurb-the new xbox will not have the new heatsink in it as it will be old stock so the chance of hardware failure is very high also for a new xbox it will take about 2 month's as they make this as long as possible because there pissed with having to give you a new one,all refurbs are cooler running and you recieve them in about 3 weeks.I requested a new one and when (not if) it breaks i will keep requesting new ones but this intec cooler with the 2 fans seems to keep it running very cool and its not that loud plus it has a on off switch so you dont need to run it all the time anyway's.Look's like i'll be missing call of duty4 and mass effect and after trying orange box on xbox i gotta say it looks better on pc(xbox version has what looks like 2aa and on pc i run 4aa)the only thing xbox version has that pc version doesn't it the original hl2 has high def lighting but valve says they are gonna put a pc patch out to correct this anyways.

PC can host larger matches on TF2 as well. I JUST got my 360 for Halo, but I still knew to get Orange Box for PC.

CRAPTACULAR INDEED and the worst customer service i ever came across(call to India)i can't understand them and they can't understand me(makes for quite the conversation)

So now i was informed today by a ms rep that my ms steering wheel is going back to a repair center,everyone with a forcefeedback ms wheel will be sent box's and instructions on what to do,do they actually make anything thats any good(doesn't matter to me much its not like i have a fuctioning 360 here anyways.

It's been since the first of Oct that i have not had a fuctioning 360 so i called tonight and my request for a brand new 360 was okayed and sent out.checked the tracking number and crapbox 360 number3 in on its way,i still cant believe it will be brand new but the supervisor assured me it was,hope it has the new board in it(65nm)or at the very least the new heatsink heatpipe.Looks like i'll be playing assasins creed and cod4 after all but am not going to get my hopes up yet!

Yeah they definitly screwed up with the hardware on the 360, the customer service is mixed, guys at work have had nothing but love. They'd get a new box within a week of sending the old one. Some people... 5 weeks.

The fact of the matter for me is that the possibility of having my xbox go vs how much i've used it, isn't enough to make me bitter. I've already gotten my money's worth unlike my PC where I put 2 grand into it last year and no new games came out. I think i'll stick to consoles for a while. For the most part everything just works better and easier.

Same thing here i upgraded my pc to dual core and 512 meg vid card and no games came out that took advantage of these upgrades,when the newer games finally did start to show my setup is kinda obsolete now and im not going to do it again especially seeing what crysis brought to the table(nothing but fancy graphics that even this gen hardware cant play good)

Well it arrived today and it does appear to be a new old stock 360,it works,its quiter then my original and xbox#2 and it seems to run cooler so far(keeping fingers crossed)

This 360 just 3 red ringed tonight so ill be on number 4-lasted 2 years woohoo.

that sucks, i really wish id bought a ps3 instead. but my xbox 360 is over 2 years old now, and its still going. i have full warranty until sep 2010. hope it breaks by then and get a new replacement

Also I do repair xboxes generally for free now if anyone on the site has issues. Mustve done over 100 by now.
