I've got the itch again. I've been thinking about a second 8800GTS 320 and getting an SLi board. Or maybe a new 8800GTS 512, or maybe just an 8800GT 512 and sell my GTS 320.

Or maybe an HD3870...

I think the resale value of the GTS's dropped to the point where you are better off just keeping them and the price of a new one still seems out-of-whack considering performance so I'd say either stick with what you have or move to a 8800GT or the HD3870.

That's my 2 cents.

imo pick up a used GTS off Kijiji as there are 2 on there & run them SLI then it'll be worth more to sell off after you lost your "itch" lol.

Personally, & this is just my opinion. Some may agree or disagree. I would stick with the gts and get another to run in sli. Currently i run two 8800 gts 320 oc2 (580mhz core , 1700 mhz mem) in sli and i can tell you that i am amazed at how well they work together. In 3d mark 06 i get an even 15,000 pionts. And i could get it even higher but i just havent bothered. My 3dmark 06 score with only one 8800 gts was 10,000. So i gained pretty much 5000 pionts in 06 by running sli. All the new dx10 games i have played i am running excellent fps @ 1400 x 1280 and all settings at high. Notthing really seems to slow it down. Except for crysis. But even that does play decently at about 45 ish fps with all settings on high. My best freind has the same computer down to the last part, except he has two xfx 8800 gt 512 in sli. His best 3dmark 06 score so far is near 16,000 pionts. That is alittle faster. But not that much. In games there isnt any diff either of us can see at all. And all our settings in the games are the same. Im not saying the gt's arnt abit quicker. I just think u have alot more to gain with two gts in sli then running a single 8800 gt 512. Now my two cards are the 8800 gts 320 mb oc2. So they are over clocked by 80 mhz on the core and 100 mhz on the mem. Maybe that helps them out alittle. Hope that helps you decide what to do. Just my 2 cents.

I was going to get an 8800GTS G92 for Christmas, but the specific model I want isn't in stock anywhere : (

I'm debating between a new motherboard and faster ram or a watercooling rig as of right now...

I ended up getting a G92 8800GTS :)

I love this, 1920x1080 CoD4 maxed out with no blips in framerate whatsoever. I'm very pleased.

Since Nvidia STILL hasn't sorted out the stuttering issue with Unreal 2 engine games, it's off to Ati land I go.

I'm quite happy with my iceq3 3870.

Mid 14K `06 on a 3.8G Q6600.
