(extra power above and beyond that which is already available on a PCI-E slot - page 4 for the lazy)

Well at least one can find a use for all those extra power connectors that get jammed in an extra 5 1/2 drive bay.

Ew! I don't really approve of the floppy power connector, that could get really messy as usually PSU's come with 2 floppy powers on a single set of wires. That limits the routing of the cable a bit. Would it have killed them to use a ragu molex or even a SATA power cable?

Yeah, a sata power cable would have been nice.

The last 3 new PSUs I've come across had the floppy connector on the end of 3 molex connectors. That'd make an awful mess of anybody's case cable management scheme.

Pity... I was really looking forward to finding a use for those basically useless 1X PCIe slots. (Maybe it's time to up the spec on them to O/P more power.... :) ).

It's a 5 1/4 soft shelled (hence the floppy bit) removable storage device based on the same media as your cassette or 8 track.

The notch on the side only allows it to be written to on one side, however notchers (basically a 1 hole square paper punch) are available turning it into a "Flippy". :)

(They really should have renamed the media when it was no longer flexible.... :) ).

My Dad found a box of those at work one time and brought them home for us to laugh at. So I guess they're "worth" a laugh. ;)
