It was a pretty good presentation that the Mythbusters did very well, on the purpose of busting the myth that the CPU (processor) was more important than the GPU (video card).

In my opinion, that was just for the entertainment for the people who attended NVISION 08.

Also in my opinion, the processor and video card are both important. Without a video card the computer won't work, and without a processor the computer won't work. The processor and video card (along with the other components such as the RAM, DVD+/-RW drive, hard drive, motherboard, power supply, operating system, etc.) work together to provide the best gaming experience. For example, you can't game very well with a powerful Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 3.0GHz processor but only having weak Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics. You can't game very well either with a powerful ATI Radeon HD4870X2 video card but only having an old and slow Intel Celeron D 326 2.53GHz Prescott processor. You need to pair the powerful Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor with the powerful ATI Radeon HD4870X2 video card to get the best gaming experience there is, along with having a powerful power supply to power it all, having a good amount of memory to run everything smoothly, and having a good stable operating system such as Windows XP or Windows Vista (though some people may not agree on Vista) to run the game and allow the user basically to use his computer.

... I thought it was really cool when they showed it in slow-mo with the pain spraying off the canvas when it hit...

Oh great more Green team fanboys! They lost whatever shred of decency they had in my eyes, even after they got paid off to not show the RFID myths.

I saw a video about that from a HOPE (Hackers On Planet Earth) Conference and Adam said it was Discovery Channel that backed away from doing that show because the credit card companies would pull all their advertising from the channel so I donno. He could be lieing but it seems like a more reasonable explanation than the card companies paying Adam and Jamie off and them keeping it a secret.

*Edit*
Here's the video:

OK let me reclarify, they got "blackmailed". And by they I mean everyone involved. They could just do the segment and leak it onto the internets.

i would hradly call that, and if you meant that post a "leak"on the internet, he did nothing to speak about the problems with RFID, or anything in the so called "conversation" on the internet, he basically said, "no the people that holds all the monies said NO" which to me doesn't disqualify any arrangement, or break any laws" so basically adam is in perfect check and handled that question like a champ. IMHO of course

additions....doesnt seem like jamie nor adam are fanboys, and usually if they are, they are both different fanboys of whatever it is they are challenging. not to say "mythbusters is real" but i will hoenslty say mythbusters bring reality to the average viewer who does not investigate the so said questions

Mythbusters sometimes also answers the questions that people never thought of asking either.

I love it when Adam makes fun of the internet nerds who get ultra picky with their tests. He talks in this nerdy Daffy Duck-like voice narrating the nerd-rage e-mails he's going to be receiving and it's great. :)
