Yea you all think I'm crazy but well it has been 3 months now. I only have access at work, I don't even own a computer at home anymore.

It is great, I do so much more now with my time. Mind you at home I didn't use it alot since I quit WoW (horrible game, not cause of the game, but the addiction).

Anyone else ever try this? The only thing I miss using it for are:

Empire Theatres (I can just call a friend or empire)
White Pages (I do have a phone book)
Email (can do at work)

So well it isn't all too bad, I miss the luxary of it, however the extra money saved each month is a bonus.

PS Sky diving ROCKS!

If I didn't have the internet at home I also wouldn't bother with having a computer at all. Whenever I'm on a system without a connection I just end up staring blankly at the screen trying to figure out what I can do on it.

It's quickly getting to the point though that if I was going to cut some of my entertainment spending that I would drop cable TV before the internet... it's still a tough call but Warcraft is more interactive and social than crashing on the couch and watching TV so I don't feel too bad about it.

realtime MMORPG's as a whole tend to be addictive. whether they are in the form of a 3D game like WoW, or a browser based game like Tribal Wars. so i tend to stick to MMO's that are turn based with one big update per day and only so much you can do through the day so it only takes a few minutes a day and you're all set to go.

Yeah I quit WoW 3 times already. I don't play 8 hours day though like a while ago. Wrist can't take that much carpal tunnel heh.

I would love to cut myself off.

Some day I might.

Through the summer I lived with just a laptop, which is the least I'd ever like to own. It limited what I could do, so I was more productive.

I have a split personality with computers too. On one hand I hate using them so much, on the other they can be used for good and I do a lot of photo editing (my only real hobby).

Cable TV I can live without, I never watch TV. Internet would be tough.

I was at my parents place in a place with no cell phone, one channel on the bunny ears and no internet, for a WHOLE MONTH. The only thing that really pissed me off was all the crap I had to download when I got back that I had missed. Cataloguing the internet is a hard job hehe.

It definitely can be depending on the person. I play a good 1-3 hours a night if not much is going on but I've never put off other activities because of it, including work when it needs to be done, so I guess it depends on your will power.

And I'm like Denty as well where I play with friends who have since moved out west or still live back in Truro so I get to talk to them while playing anyways.

Same as Flama. Some nights 8 hours though. Not an addiction. Just fun. Can always get up and walk away.

I too have made a similar "leap" recently. I moved out to the country, I literally live in the middle of woods. No High Speed Available.. except for Sat. Internet which I don't think qualifies as a viable connection for me. I use internet only at work, which is enough time for me, to get caught up on recent news or snag any download I desire. I used to live in front of the computer, now I find, I only go to maybe a half dozen sites, daily, and find it rather boring.

Only thing I kind of miss is COD 4 on Live. Never could get into MMO's had a 2 week trial of WOW and probably played it for 2 hours.
