EB sucks like that. Especially their camp out for 48 hour zit infested nerd pre-order slumber party.

When Lich King comes out for WoW. I'll just run to futureshop and get my copy before the preorders come out of EB. Did last time.

I would suspect limited means a limited number of copies, even for pre-orders.

Well it runs really well with almost every option on extra high and im using 2xaa-this is with a 8800GT and dualcore 2.6- going to fraps it and mess around with some options later tonight, just playing through the starting tutorial now, graphics would have been awesome but crysis got it done first and done better.

Ok so performance is ok. But what about game play, and story!

Performance kicks ass. But I can't be the judge of that. That's for sure...

Umm I only played for a little bit. The storyline starts up real fucking sweet. The guns are good.. There's not much to say other than I really want to play it more.

So from what I played I would never buy it.. But i'm just like that. But for someone who spends money on games. BUY IT.

It's pretty fucking cool.

I'm not going to give away the storyline.

Well this still leaves me in my FC2, Dead Space, or FO3 choice. If only I could put them in an arena to fight to the death.

Fallout 3 would win easily i think and im having more fun playing deadspace then farcry 2 but i wont recommend anyone buying a game without any multiplayer such as deadspace unless you really like sci-fi horror games like doom 3-im glad i bought it and i know ill play through it more then once,FarCry 2 is definatly a cross between crysis and stalker,it runs well on my pc at extrahigh settings 1280x1024 and 2aa(fraps showing 32 to 50 fps)and yes it runs smooth at even 28 to 30 fps(good engine)SO FAR its not the type of game that i just cant stop playing and i didn't get to try multiplayer yet there wasnt enough players on to have a match.Farcry 2 is no game of the year i can honestly say that!If im not done of FC2 before FO3 arrives ill probably never go back to it(would rather play original farcry)

I'll make this easy to read.

If you have a choice of one. Pick Fallout 3.

It's a new area to play a game in. And it's wartorn. Thus being pretty neat!

My roommate finished getting FC2 last night off Steam and I saw a bit of it while he was in the tutorial. Like others have said, the graphics and frame rate seem to be quite good (he's running an 8800GT on an X2 5600+ I believe) but it's not something that really interests me. :?

Started playing .. looked like a good game but in the first where you have to grab stuff from the med kit I blue screen every time. Updated drives .. still the same problem .. pissing me off. Heat isn't an issue as I got the fan running so loud the neighbors can hear it.

I had an issue with even getting it started running. Turns out the new Nvidia 180.42 beta release doesn't like far cry 2 on my system. changing back to 178.24 got it running. After i restarted the game it runs in windowed mode now. Haven't figured out how to fix this yet. As for the rest, Great story and game play. Graphics are really nice. I am running 2 GTX260's in SLI with a E8400 at 4ghz so they should be. Once I get this windowed issue worked out it will be nice. I recommend this game 100%.

UPDATE - Sweet, solved the windowed mode problem. Here is the solution

Open My Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2\GamerProfile.xml with a text editor and look for the Fullscreen="0" near the top. Change to Fullscreen="1" and launch the game in full screen mode,

Game runs perfect now. Hope this helps someone with same problem
