So who ended up getting it last night and what are your initial thoughts? No spoilers though please, I just exited the vault before calling it for the night so I haven't seen a whole lot yet. :)

I am happy at how it runs on my system though, as I expected that I would have to turn many of the settings to medium, but it's running great on high.

Check this out, seems to be a 4870 x2 issue and a fix.

First time I installed it, it decided to crash to desktop every time. something to do with FFDSHOW or some crazy bullshiat.

Second time installed it, some stupid CRC errors on the sound file. Installed the patch, and a recet FFDSHOW filer, and it loaded up. AT one point the sound starting screwing up and my flatmate was worried the microwave was blowing up.

Then I ran into a subway station, had a very bad Hellgate: London flashback and quickly stopped playing.

Good premise, lots of dark humor, "A Bullet to the Brain" is the correct answer. Very nice visuals. My name was "Murderface"

Bad: the pace of gameplay, the total lack of bullets and I actually was "grinding" mobs in the quickie mart.

Maybe I should have armed that nuke in the town heh.

Dude.

When I blew it up I returned to my last save point. But I highly suggest to anyone to go back and blow the fucker up because you get to light it up from the top of a building far away and see the spectacular explosion and mushroom cloud. And when you do you get a penthouse suite.

Everyone I've talked to has done the "good path" in this game... I blew it up as soon as I saw Ten Penny Towers and am enjoying my penthouse suite overlooking all the Plebs. ;)

I am happy to say I chose to blow up megaton and YES it was worth it. Better than a shitty shack and a couple free bullets now and then from the locals.

Also, anyone beat this in under 25 hours?

I beat it in 24 hours, only got to lvl 16 and was kinda disappointed considering I was expecting 100 hours of main story.

My biggest advice, work on Speech and Science, they will save you alot of quest time later on.

A friend of mine said he beat it the second day in only 5 or 6 hours game-play. He accidentally came across the father in the Wastelands so he basically ended up skipping most of the main storyline quests in the process. He was pretty bummed out about it and said it ruined his first time through experience but he started a second game up shortly after that. :?
