More to gather performance data of various hardware combinations.

They also have team and individual contests. The one thing I like is that awards are not given strictly to the top brute force machines, but to people who can get the top/record setting performance from older hardware.

I think they still give points for setting records to old celrons, the 66Mhz and 100 Mhz bus types!

If you notice on the site, one can basically configure any combination of hardware, then be provided with an expected performance level. This information comes in handy for thoise on budgets and wating the best bang for the buck.

Cheers

Thanks man...

Most my old benches are there too from about 2 years ago. I was glad to see they still have 'hang time' with points!

I recall being at #58 (I think) with the CF xtx1950s and X6800 on phase.

Put put the 7900GT on the i7 and bound to get some points for AM3 and 3DM'01, for the 7900GT class!

Cheers

Seem's only my old scores are worth anything. Ye old 6800GS's finally got bumped out of the top scores(for 6800GS's) but still give a few point, wish I still had them... Heck even a Voodoo3 one I submitted gives me a point+

Jumped ship with my 18.5 points. I'll run some benches on the Atom.

I should get a few points from my Vantage score.

Question: Do I need a PIC and a VALID compare now? It used to be either or.

It appears to depend on the application. Compare URLs seem to be the accepted method for those benchamrks which allow for the url, such as the FutureMark suite. Screen captures for those which cannot. I also noticed that some software is starting to support HWBOTS by having a HWBOT submit function, with WPrime coming to mind.

Cheers

Yep, a few points from Vantage, it doesn't seem too popular, probably because of the 1 run limit with the freebie.
Not a lot of '03 submissions for the X2 either :P hah, 6.2pt's for a not to great run.

Hmmm, seems some of the people who kicked my old 6800's out of the top 5 haven't maintained their verifcation - you've been notified  (hugs Benchmarkers Pro Pack)

Oh, and I'm getting a VERY old friend back. Not quite as good as my old 6800GS's, but it'll bring some points
