can have up to 64GB of DDR2. I have no idea how much the 8GB sticks would cost though. Seems to rely on a battery to keep the RAM refreshed instead of a plug to the wall. Oh well.

The tests seem to confirm what I had originally thought, that SATA2 bus is already saturated with the high end SSD's. SATA3 baby!

I read an announcement back in June for this device to be on the radar. I'm glad to see it finally made it.

I once had the Gigabyte IRAM and it gave awesome performance under XP. The 4GB limitation was the deciding factor to move on, plus a few little bugs that I did not like.

Apparently this device can automatically backup the memory to a Compaq flash card. This seems like a nice little feature for when the battery dies.

Considering a much better performing 64GB G.Skill SSD can be currently had for $159.00 CDN, I think the ANS-9010 is a device too late to the game, never mind affording 8x8GB single sticks.

If you're happy with an affordable 8 x 2GB system for a 16 GB boot drive (or 8GB boot drive in Raid 0), then this would be the system to get, providing you want to give up a 5 1/4" drive bay.

A year ago, I may have bought it, but today it is SSDs. The G.Skill mentioned above are a very good buy for that price (in the SSD class).
